What do you need to consider
Any types of heating radiors can get very warm. Therefore, always make sure not to touch a heating jarrier that has been switched on for a long time, as the devices can be very hot. You also have to pay attention to which rooms you want to use your radiant heater for. So you can determine which wattage your new radiant heater needs. As a rule, if you have an area of around 10 to 20 square meters to be heated, a radiant heater with around 2,000 watts is sufficient. If the space to be heated is larger, devices from 2,500 to 3,000 watts are more suitable. In addition, for example, hanging devices distribute the heat better, the larger the room in which the radiant heater is.
Infrared or convector?
There are basically two different alternative heating options. Either with convectors or with infrared heaters. These differ in their technical details as follows:
Infrared heaters
Infrared heaters take for a long time until they are well heated. The room air is only heated indirectly here, so the heating process also takes longer as with other heating devices. Such infrared heating or radiation heating, release infrared light and warm up the space with these light rays. Infrared heaters are also considered very allergy sufferers. Since you practically no dust, the dust load in the respective heated room is very low. In addition, they heat up the space and the furniture they are much more because the infrared eggs do not heat the air, but the objects in the room. Your room stays warm so much longer compared to other alternative heating radios.
Convection heating
In return for infrared heating, the convection heating does not heat up the space itself or the objects in it, but the air in the room. It is also said that the convection heating is heated by flow (i.e. by convection). So cool air is sucked in and heated in the radiator. This converted air is then distributed outside. This reduces the density of the air in the room. Therefore, the convection heating heats up much faster than heating with infrared rays. But you also need more electricity compared to the other heating beams.
Tips when buying a radiant heater
In any case, think about which rooms you want to use your radiant heater. If you are looking for a radiant heater, which you can use both inside and outside, an infrared heater will serve you very well. You can use this well both in the house as well as outside on the terrace or the seat. However, if you only use your heater for the interior, then it is worth buying a convector heating for you. These immediately convert the cold air into warm air. So you already have warm air in your room within a matter of seconds. So you don't need a long pre -heat time before you can finally warm up. But also make sure that the space to be heated is always closed so that it can heat up beautifully and evenly. This is the only way you can quickly generate a satisfied experience. Due to the air distribution from the convector heating, the heater may produce a noise that is disturbing for you. If you are sensitive to this, you can make sure when buying that you buy a heater that is rather noise. These are explicitly marketed with the display of decibels. However, it should be noted that convectors use heaters more electricity than other heating and also as their own heating in the living space. Therefore, the convector heating should only be used as an alternative for a shorter period of time. Use a convector heating for rather smaller rooms that you can complete. Infrared heaters can be used well for larger rooms in which more walls or stones are available. Thanks to the infrared heating, these can heat up very well and thus save the heat about three times longer than convector heating.
