With the revision of the Energy Saving Ordinance (short: EnEV), the tightened energy efficiency regulations of the Europeanisch Union (EU) for systems and devices in the standard Swiss law accepted.

What will be different?

The previous scale of most device categories goes from A +++ to D. This is confusing and not transparent. Therefore, the EU gradually introduces the revised scale from A to G from 1.3.21. The new label corresponds to a higher standard. For this reason:

A +++ becomes B or C
For the time being, the top efficiency class A remains free with the new label. This remains space for technological development and product improvements. The devices, which were previously classified as A +++ and now receive B or C as a label, are therefore no less efficient. It only gives room for even more efficient products.

No mandatory QR code

Via the QR code in the right upper area, you will come directly to the European Commission's product database in the future. It is not mandatory to attach QR codes on new energy labels. If QR codes are already appropriate according to the EU regulations, they can be left unchanged.

New pictograms for product criteria
Most pictograms for other product criteria in the lower area of the etiquette were already available on the original label. Some pictograms have been graphically adjusted. New individual pictograms have been added (energy savings in HDR mode for televisions and displays, washing time for washing machines).
