A cigar infected by tobacco worms can no longer be saved. Therefore, this pest leads to considerable losses every year. Many cigar retailers had to say goodbye to their esteemed collector's pieces, which fell victim to the larvae of the tobacco beetle.
In the production phase, manufacturers already use various measures to minimize worm -related damage.
