The line plate has a 360 degree scale for measuring angle positions and intervals in double stars, a scale with a subdivision into tenths of millimeters for measuring planet diameters, lunar craters and its shadow lengths and much more. The fine las estimate of the micrometer scale on the measuring platelet enables line thicknesses of only 15 microns and line distances of only 50 microns! This can also be used by smaller guiding stars and keeping it well between the lines.
